Fresque des légendes

It is in the village of Brignac, a small town in Brocéliande, that the artist Jim Colorex was given carte blanche to paint the exterior of the restaurant La Maison de Manon!

In 2014, the two restaurant owners Mickaël Thomas and Nicolas Reynero asked him to paint a fresco on a 14-metre long wall, in connection with the forest of Brocéliande and its legends. The aim was to provide a backdrop for the restaurant's terrace and to colour the town to highlight it.

In 2017, a second fresco, replacing the first one, was created by the same artist and in collaboration with the restaurant owners who gave their opinion as the panels came to life.
The aim this time was to highlight the legendary, natural and architectural heritage of the small villages in the area: after a great deal of research, the artist wanted to highlight the little-known treasures around Broceliande.
This required between 100 hours of work in 9 days.

Jim Colorex is also behind the triptych on the façade of the tourist office in Tréhorenteuc.
