Karton de Breizh ®

Stéphanie Matéos has been experimenting with the plasticity of cardboard and paper for over 10 years. She moved to Josselin in 2013 and created the company and brand Karton de Breizh to transform these so-called waste materials, which she recovers, and recycle them into furniture and art objects.
Her field of exploration ranges from everyday objects such as boxes, frames, trays, lighting, weaving, basketry, hanging baskets and bowls, to furniture for sitting, storage, work or space planning (in 2019 she will create the guest room "Cocon de Carton", furnished and decorated entirely with recycled cardboard).
However, she is also interested in the uses that these materials allow in a more artistic register and in the possibility of mixing techniques and media between them. Engraving, monotype, bas-relief sculpture, photography, drawing, embroidery, sewing.... are all means at her disposal to capture reality and translate a sensitive and personal vision.

Workshops from 2 to 6 hours, 2 to 4 day courses for children and adults on request and reservation.

Opening hours in 2023:
From March to the end of June: Friday from 3pm to 6pm, Saturday from 10am to 1pm and from 3.30pm to 7pm, Sunday from 3pm to 6pm.
From July to the end of September: every day except Monday, from 11am to 1pm and from 3.30pm to 7pm.
From October to the end of November: Saturdays from 10am to 1pm and from 3.30pm to 7pm.
In December: Friday from 3pm to 6pm, Saturday from 10am to 1pm and from 3.30pm to 7pm, Sunday from 3pm to 6pm.
During the short school holidays, open every day except Monday, from 3pm to 7pm.
