Musée de l'Officier

It will appeal to lovers of art, history and military memory. From the collections of the Musée du Souvenir de Saint-Cyr, this more than one hundred year old museum presents a rich collection of 1,500 objects: paintings, bronzes, weapons, uniforms, emblems, trophies, etc. From prestigious objects, such as a Marshal's baton, to simple everyday military objects, all bear witness to the life and service of the officer from the Ancien Régime to the present day.
The museum pays tribute to figures in French military history such as Napoleon I, Lyautey and de Gaulle, but also to the bravery and sense of duty of lesser-known officers who fell on the field of honour or served our country. Through these crossed destinies, visitors relive the major events of French history. As a repository of a spirit of service and sacrifice, the Officer's Museum remains a unique place of memory and history, highlighting the values of loyalty, courage and exemplarity of the Army.
